Endless serpent
Spiralling upwards,
The tree's shade as charming as
Cool bed sheets and hot chocolate,
Offers a resting place to the haunted mind.
Marshmallows melting through
These hot coals
That crush the soul, beat the restless.
Sits atop the will, a dreadful desire.
Endless serpent,
Struggling to crawl up
The skin of weak, fragile
Figures irradiating pain.
Feeble radiator rumbling about,
Rolling around with a blank mind.
The eyes soak in the well-being
Of hurtful indifference, hate.
That neverending choking sensation:
Clogging your throat
As burden hammers down your nails
To a wet garage floor.
Feel the vicious snake exit your mouth.
Watch it dig its way inside your flesh.
Its fangs are sharp. Its bite is ecstasy, painful.
One last bite.
One last breath.
Gentle needles soothe the brain
And the nerves
And the anguish, building up.
