Seoul, Asia's London

For the past few years South Korea has showed the world what its fashion is capable of. The diversity of looks and styles is what’s drawing the attention of fashion experts and bloggers, slowly influencing western’s trends. Patterns, colors, accessories and more are key to their street fashion; and it definitely shows in every outfit as they are not shy to demonstrate how creative they can be.

Mixing minimalism with street/hip-hop style and tailored kawaii and other hybrid styles are what make Seoul’s street fashion one of the most talked about issues during fashion week.

The fun-loving capital is known for the diversity and originality of their looks -you won’t see the same outfit twice (unless twinning is part of the deal).

The unique styling and risks taken by the Asian capital has taken fashion week by storm and wowed everyone.

This kind of novelty and uniqueness was usually London’s position and was what the European city was known for; this is why Seoul and the English capital are often compared.

Yet London remains more relevant (fashion wise); why is that?Well remember that the western city has earned recognition in the fashion industry for many decades and it only started to be different from other European cities during the early 1980’s when urban tribes such as Punks, Cybergoths, Supreme kids (...) began to be important on a larger scale.
